I'm a "maybe if I'm going to be at the coffee shop anyway" kind of person. Occasionally (very occasionally) I'll have an hour to kill and I'll use the wi-fi at Atlanta Bread Company.
Really though, I'm paying for the quiet, comfortable environment and mediocre coffee.

I rather prefer the environment at Atlanta Bread Company myself. When we lived near to University Boulevard we frequented ABC more often, more for one of the very fresh sandwiches than the coffee, which as you say, is rather mediocre.
