I totally agree with your points above. Anyone gets a letter from me, is going to get a typed letter. Having said that, the only time I'm going to mail a letter to someone would be if they don't have email (aside for formal business contracts).
I guess it's an art that has largely died out, but as long as folks keep communicating and interacting with each other, that's the most important thing.

At first I thought that my reasons for blogging might have changed over the past few months, and found it interesting that, alhough there's been a bit of evolution in what parts of blogging I'm finding most fulfilling right now, the basic reasons remain the same -- and very much like your own reasons!
Except, I do have to say that I've never had that difficult relationahip with handheld writing implements...
