I've been using Ubuntu for a little while. Yes I installed Ubuntu, and then KDE (and beryl too, and enlightenment). Not tried XCFE yet.

Running 7.10 tribe 3 here, gutsy gibbon.

Stable, faster than Windoze of course, much easier to install.

Have you much experience with Kubuntu? Same OS but KDE gui.
