The Eye: 3BT

    1. Another pleasant day, all the doors and windows open here, organic phosphates from the field sprayer drifting in,

2.Some good tasty fresh bread. Yum. Pity it's full of preservatives as it came from Tesco.

    3. Listening to my neighbor's 22 year old inexperienced fence-erecting operatives trying to explain to me, a 46 year old builder why they have pinched three feet from my side of the garden.

You have it good there, my son!

Yes, Ron, very witty really, and it's my kind of humor...

However, the point of 3BT is that you're supposed to write down three things that have made you feel good today. The idea is partly to think positive, and partly to cheer yourself up when you're having one of those shitty days.

I got the idea from Clare Grant, a young lady in Tunbridge Wells, in Kent, who set up the original one at http://threebeautifulthings.co.uk

However, she puts me to shame, as she has much mre eloquent things to say in such a nicer way than I do somehow.

As for the bread, well this particular loaf came from Wal-Mart, so it's probably as full of chemicals as the ones you buy in Tesco. My experience of Tesco's bread, was that is was really fresh the day the bought it, but it went really dry in under 48 hours.

As for the fence story - I remember when I had a mid terraced house. Now I should have been responsible for one of the side fences, right? Well, both neighbors insisted that they were responsible for them, so that let me right off the hook, except the old girl next door employed some of those your cowboys that you talk of, and they did the same as you, and took a couple of feet of garden from me. Worse still they only put the 6ft fence posts about 9-10 inches into the ground, and not into anything except the soil, so the first gale brought the darn thing down, and I ended up doing it for her, with met posts.
